If you were to stop by for an early morning visit at our house, you would most likely be served a green drink. It is how we start our day. We have discovered that a morning green drink makes a difference in how we feel and function through the day. This is especially important if you do not get enough green veggies in your regular diet. Give it a try and see if it does not give you a boost as well.
Morning Green Drink for 4
Base Ingredients:
2 cups water
1 avocado
1 lemon
1 cucumber
1/2 cup spinach
ice cubes
Chef Ani adds:
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 apple
Mom adds:
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
1/4 cup herbs
1 small garlic
Grandma adds:
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
1/4 cup kale (may make the drink bitter)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
1 tablespoon flax seeds
Instructions:
Add all ingredients, except ice to a blender, and blend until smooth. Then add the ice and keep blending until desired consistency.
