Here’s a super easy recipe for a juicy, caramelized portobello mushroom burger that you’re going to love!

- 2–4 large Portobello Mushrooms
- Olive oil
- Salt
Instructions
- Clean and remove stem from the mushrooms.
- Brush with oil and sprinkle with a little bit of salt.
- Place, stem side up, on the griddle. and cook for approximately 4 minutes on each side, flipping half way through cooking time.
- Serve in a whole wheat burger bun with your favorite condiments. I often serve my mushroom burger with pesto and arugula, which adds an excellent flavor.
Notes
You can marinate the mushrooms prior to grilling: 1/4 c olive oil, 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, 3 tablespoon grape juice concentrate, 2-3 garlic cloves minced, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, pinch of rosemary
