Vegan Meatball Sliders

Description

Here are the best vegan meatball sliders and the only recipe you’ll ever need. They are the perfect 4th of July sliders and just take the celebration to a whole new level.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup vital wheat gluten
  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 2 tablespoons dried ground mushroom powder
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 1/16 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 cup tofu
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons Braggs Liquid Aminos
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 3 large garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions

 

Broth ingredients:

  • 8 cups water
  • 1/3 cup Bragg Liquid Aminos

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients together.
  2. In a food processor or blender, blend all the wet ingredients together.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Knead the dough for a couple of minutes by hand to make sure everything is incorporated
  5. Prepare the broth

 

Broth:

  1. When the broth comes to a rolling boil, do a consistency test
  2. Shape the dough into little meatballs
  3. Add the meatballs, cover with lid, reduce heat to medium until the meatballs float, stir gently, reduce the heat to low.
  4. On low, gently boil the meatballs for 60 minutes
  5. Turn off the heat.
  6. Let meatballs cool in broth.
  7. Sear meatballs in a pan with a little olive oil and Braggs Liquid Aminos.
