Pear Cream Ice Cream

It has been said that great and unique inventions are created out of necessity. Well, this was the case in my kitchen this week. I came home from the dentist without my wisdom teeth, and to ease the discomfort, I decided I needed something cold. I put my pear cream into the ice cream maker, and Voilà, a great new favorite thing was invented.

Ingredients:

1 can unsweetened canned pears (15 oz)
2/3 c coconut milk
1/4 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
2/3 T maple syrup

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth. Place in an ice-cream maker for about 20-30 minutes. Enjoy immediately.

Note:
To make the soft serve even creamier, add:
1 can (5.4 oz) Unsweetened, organic Coconut Cream &
Replace the water in the canned pears with coconut milk (about 3/4th cup)
The flavor becomes slightly more coconut.
I would not recommend freezing overnight, as it gets too hard.  Enjoy right away!
